White With White:
3-Dimensional Textures and Relief Forms in Irish Textiles
Written in 2022 as part of my undergraduate studies whilst at the University of Ulster. This monograph explores the relationship between 3-dimensional forms and textures alongside usage of the colour white in Irish textiles. Exploring both traditional and contemporary techniques, practitioners and materials this text seeks to showcase the importance of, ‘white with white’.
